GeoData Information Sources

(last updated: )

NOTE: This list is in the process of some much needed revision and redesign. A new version will appear this summer - Glenn Larson

There is a wealth of information about digital cartographic and environmental data that can be accessed via the World Wide Web. Many of these data sets can also be downloaded over Internet. The following compilation of Internet/WWW sites is intended to be an introductory guide to some of the many such resources available via the World Wide Web.

CGRER has a variety of digital environmental data sets available to its members and their students. These are mostly on CD-ROM. Check the Local Information page for information on what is currently available.

An extensive list of maps available on the WWW can be found on the related Maps and References page.

This list has been compiled for use by faculty members and students of the Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research. Suggested additions and corrections to this list are welcome and can be sent to the CGRER webmaster.
