Description:This CD-ROM contains hundreds of satellite images of the Earth mostly obtained from the LANDSAT satellite and compiled by a couple of private companies which sell and distribute such data. There are Landsat (Thematic Mapper) images which cover all of the continental United States along with a sampling of images from around the world. All seven Landsat image bands for a resampled Grand Canyon scene are also provided. All of the images are in TIFF or JPEG formats and there are stardard text files which provide descriptive information.The CD-ROM also contains display and tutorial programs that run under DOS/Windows (although all of the data can be viewed under Macintosh or Unix with the appropriate software).
