Description:
This CD-ROM is a compilation of ecosystem GIS data used in the
assessment and cleanup efforts of the Exxon Valdez oil spill
(March 1989).
The intent was to make as much of this data available to the
public as possible.
The data published include coastline, roads, hydrography,
elevation, slope, shaded relief image, land cover, bathymetry,
eagle nest locations, protected area, land ownership,
anchorages, environmental sensivity index, 1989 shoreline
oiling, and other basemap information.
Metadata describing each data set are included.
A copy of ARCVIEW (version 1) for PCs is also available on this
CD-ROM for viewing the data.
Note that this version of ARCVIEW only works under Windows 3.11.
However, the data should work with later versions of ARCVIEW.
