Description:This dataset on two CD-ROMs contains all of the NGS Data Sheets for the North Central states (IL,IN,IA,KS,MI,MN,MO,MT,NE,ND,SD,WI,WY) as ASCII text files. A PC program to extract individual control points and perform other functions helpful in using the data sheets is included. Additional data on GPS ephemerides, GEOID96 Geoid Height Model, and DEFLEC96 Deflections of the Vertical, are also available on the CD-ROMs.NGS's principal data product is the data sheet. It combines horizontal control (position) and vertical control (height) information in a single published format. The data sheet includes:
- The control point designation and its permanent identifying number (PID) in the NGS data base - The horizontal and vertical datums on which the control point information is based - The horizontal coordinates and the method used to determine them - The orthrometric height and the method used to determine it - The horizontal datum shift (NAD 83 and NAD 27) - The vertical datum shift (NAVD 88 and NGVD 29) |
