Description:
This dataset is intended to let potential users of the U.S.
Geological Survey
digital cartographic data products familiarize themselves with the
various available data types and formats.
It includes samples of all of the major digital data products
produced and distributed by the USGS.
This data is for selected parts of the Pacific Northwest and
includes:
1:,2,000,000-scale DLG for Northwestern States
1:250,000-scale LULC for Seattle, Washington
1:100,000-scale DLG for Tacoma, Washington
1:24,000-scale DLG for Tunwater, Washington
1-degree DEM for Seattle, Washington
7.5-minute DEM for Tumwater, Washington
GNIS for the State of Washington
Documentation
The USGS Users Guides for all of these different data types are
available in the CGRER computer laboratory.
Nearly all geographic information systems can import these
data files.
Distribution
This data is available on one of the CGRER magneto-optical disks.
(It can be purchased from the USGS on a 9-track tape for $25.) |
