Title:Conterminous United States AVHRR Companion CD-ROM

Description:GIS data layers in raster and optional DLG-3 vector format, for the 48 conterminous states. Designed to be used with USGS annual conterminous U.S. AVHRR biweekly composites CD-ROM series. GIS data registered in Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area Projection (raster file pixels are 1 km). Data include: USGS hydrologic units, USGS DLG state/county boundaries, NGDC 30 arc- second DEM, USGS shaded relief and slope data, SCS land resource areas, EPA ecoregions, NOAA climatic regions, and conterminous U.S. AVHRR biweekly composite vegetation index for July 5-18, 1991.
