Pablo Saide is currently a second year Environmental engineering Phd student advised by Professor Gregory Carmichael. He is a mechanical engineer and has a master in Mechanical engineering from Universidad de Chile, where he is originally from. He was nominated "Oustanding Student" during all his years as engineering and master student and has obtained several scholarships like a CONICYT master scholarship and a Fulbright-CONICYT PhD scholarship. He has attended to several conferences and workshops in many countries as Chile, Argentina, Brazil, France, Canada and USA. He made research stays in EMPA (Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology, Switzerland) and in CEREA (Center for education and research in the atmospheric environment) at ENPC (Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, France). His research is based in air quality modeling with focus on several areas like emissions, local air quality models and inverse modeling. He is involved in several projects at CGRER such as Air quality forecasting for Santiago de Chile and development of WRF-Chem chemistry modules and adjoint.
