The University of Iowa
Museum of Natural History

An excellent place to learn more about Iowa's natural environment, both past and present, is the University of Iowa Museum of Natural History. The exhibits are broadly representative of the four major divisions of natural science: anthropology, botany, geology, and zoology.

Located in Macbride Hall on the northeast Pentacrest, the museum is open 7 days a week (except University and national holidays). The hours are 9:30-4:30 Monday through Saturday and 12:30-4:30 Sundays. There is no admission fee (although donations are welcome).
